"Gold of Kagan" early finish for Toni Gardemeister

The second day of "Gold of Kagan" rally raid Toni Gardemeister and his codriver Agris Petersons spend in sand dunes of Astrakhan region. After successful top result on previous day the crew of Latvian racing team "REAutoclub" was first on the road on the second stage.

For the beginners, who hasn't experience in real off‐road and deserts it was quite difficult stage, but Toni and Agris could keep their result in top 3 overall till the 9‐th check point. But rally is rally and on the way to check point 10 (about 155 km from the start) the crew stopped due the engine problems. Unfortunately they couldn't continue.

"Pity that we finished too early, as I like the event and it could be good experience to finish it. For sure we could show strong result as I feel myself very well with team's assistant and help. I like to learn the off‐road driving" – shared his impressions Toni Gardemeister.

Very possible that next event will be rally Talsi in Latvia. The final confirmation and details will be next week.
