Five final events and two final months of FIA World Rally Championship serie season 2007 is ahead of us. First and second of those five event serie is to be rallied in next weekends in the region of eastern Mediterranean sea. First one is Rally Catalunya in Spain and next is Rally Corsica which is one week later. These events are second and third of season 2007 four event tarmac rallies.

Toni Gardemeister with his new co-driver Tomi Tuominen supposed to participate into Rally Corsica with Citroen XSara WRC. However the Flying Finns have forced to cancel their participation for the rally due financial issues.

– As speaking with rally language we didn't manage to get the package in that kind of condition that we could enter the rally. Nowadays rally sport is extremely expensive way of sport as privateer have to fund their rally program complitely different as rallying in manufacturer team. With my good sponsors I've been able to rally in selected WRC events. Unfortunately for WRC Corsica we didn't manage to get enough budget, told dissapointed Gardemeister.

– Even I don't participate the event, me and my co-driver Tomi Tuominen are going to do recce in Corsica. Also we're making hard work for seeing us in some events for this season. Also season 2008 rally program is under construction. We will keep you in touch as things goes by, Gardemeister continued.

I'm second generation rallydriver born with motorsports in my blood in 1975. My yard was full of racing cars as my dad began driving rally in 1970, so I breathed rally all the time.

After professional career I have teached and mentored new talents and as a Jari-Matti Latvala´s first car.
