Toni Gardemeister victorious in Italy

Professional rally driver Toni Gardemeister with his co-driver Tomi Tuominen had a successful weekend in Italy. Finns rallied victory in legendary Mille Miglia rally with Astra Racing GT-class Nissan 350Z RWD rally car.

The rally was an event for Italian and European Rally Championship and it was rallied in beautiful scenery of lake Garda. For GT-drivers the rally included nine curvy and demanding tarmac special stages. However the organizers were forced to cancel two special stages. It had no effect for Gardemeister and Tuominen as the Finns rallied GT-group victory in a superior way.

– We had a very nice and fun rally day. As incredible as it sounds, the World Rally Car is much easier to drive than this GT-glass car which had standard steering and brakes. But I don't complain, because the experience was joyful and it was finished with fantastic result, analyzed Gardemeister for his excellent rallying.

– It was fantastic to work with professional rally driver. Now I also know why Toni Gardemeister is one of the fastest Finnish rally drivers. It was also unbelievable to see how fans cheered us during the stage and in transit sections. And the atmosphere on podium was not so bad either as we heard national anthem of Finland, told co-driver Tuominen.
